Evo ruka Association was founded in 2011 by parents of children with developmental disabilities in order to improve quality of life of their children and secure better future for them. 

Evo ruka cherishes social activism, connecting society with an aim to offer concrete support to families and develop innovative inclusive practices. 

From the very beginning until now, we have initiated and implemented a number of significant projects intended for the community development these children live and grow in.

Ana Knežević

President of the Association

Electrical engineer by education, the mother and the Association’s President by vocation. Social entrepreneur and humanitarian worker.
At the time the Association was founded, Ana was a single unemployed mother of two boys, ages 6 and 7, the elder one suffering from multiple developmental disorders caused by a very rare DiGeorge syndrome. She was determined to find a solution and make difference in an environment that often fails to understand the context parents of children with disabilities live in. She has been devoted to the idea of forming a community of the parents who know and support each other.
Together with her associates, she started Inclusive Centre in Zemun Polje, as well as her agricultural holding and launched production of preserves aiming at provision of financial sustainability of the organization.
She has been engaged in initiation of new projects and the ongoing communication with other parents.
Ana still dreams of the supportive environment where children with development issues and their parents would be entitled to all services they need and deserve, in order to have a dignified and carefree life as useful members of the society, and not only as passive beneficiaries of social and humanitarian assistance.

Iva Novaković

Inclusive Centre Coordinator

Inclusive Centre and Programme Coordinator, graduated social worker and a long-term volunteer. Iva joined the Association in early 2018 and has since been actively involved in implementation of all programmes. She took part in 13 volunteer camps all over the world on different topics. Iva ran five camps in Serbia as a camp leader. She is 24 years, old. Graduated from the Faculty of Political Sciences at the Belgrade University, Social Policy and Social Work Department. She is currently doing her Master degree in Public administration, local self-government and public policies.

Od kad sam prvi put došla u dvorište inkluzivnog centra EVO RUKA u Zemun Polju ostala sam do danas. Buknula je istinska ljubav sa izuzetnom decom, njihovim roditeljima i prijateljima. Za mnoge ljude je to “Put kojim se ređe ide”. Ali nije teško i ne boli. Ukoliko imate isti sistem vrednosti, onda je inkluzija proces u kome ste istovremeno i učenik i učitelj. Zahvalna sam što sam, tokom mnogobrojnih kasnijih druženja, bila na izvoru energije koja zrači i leči. To je velika privilegija.
